20 Favorites Part One 20 Favorites Part Two
These are 20 of my favorite ads out of thousands I produced in the 20-year period 1985-2005 in Humboldt County.

One of the fun things about producing TV ads in a small market is that you get to wear all the hats: writing, shooting, directing, editing, and acting in your productions.
The bonus feature at the end of Part Two is a spoof I created in 2004 for a sales rep to take to Sequoia Personnel Service--she didn't know it was bogus, she thought it was a real spec spot to show them. They had actually gotten me my first job in Humboldt County as an Announcer/ Producer at radio stations KATA/KFMI in 1982 and I wanted to play a joke on them. Much hilarity ensued after they realized I was kidding about having a lot of drug raps and felony convictions. (I don't have that many.) (Note: the production values in some of these ads reflects the older camera and editing technology. Some of the gear I used is now on exhibit at the Smithsonian.)

In God We Trust (3:45)
Reverend Tubens explains this esoteric phrase found on all our money.

Mickey's Big Adventure (2:23)
A man and his doll have an exciting adventure. Produced by Genny St. Charles-Monet for a school project.
Many thanks to Danny Elfman for the use of the music and Walt Disney for the use of Mickey.
(Note: no chihauhuas were harmed in the making of this video.)
Speaking of Genny, do yourself a real treat and check out some of her videos,
starting with the compilation reel at the top of her website...
